What’s in the box?

Email marketing or creating emails is one of the most important features offered by Dynamics 365 Marketing. The software is equipped with tools that facilitate the creation of marketing emails. What’s unique about the tool is that it allows you to create personalized content that is graphically rich.

In addition to the above, Dynamics 365 allows you to marketing emails in bulk. You can monitor and track the response of each of the recipients and even understand how they interact with the email. How to create eye-catching emails with Dynamics 365 for Marketing?

To create a marketing email and go live:

● Click on Marketing, select Marketing Execution, and then click on Marketing Emails. Here, you will find all of the existing emails. In the command bar, click on new.

● A new page opens up. You will have to choose an email template from the dialog box. Every template has a starting point that allows you to design a message of a certain type. The displayed template dialog has all of the resources you would need to search, browse, and/or preview the template collection.

● Click on the blank template to edit or customize the template as per your needs.

● Once you do the above, the Select Email Template dialog box will close and all of your content will now be copied to the chosen design. To add a name to your message, click on the header field button that you will see beside the header option.

● Next, you need to add a subject to the email template. Remember that even though the subject isn’t mandatory, it is the first thing that the user views and hence is a must. Not only that, you must decide on a subject that is eye-catching and piques the interest of the reader. Most of the time, readers abandon an email if the subject isn’t good.

● Next comes the main part. Here, you will see a few canvases on the left of the screen. You can simply drag them and organize them on the screen to adjust it. In case you picked up a blank template, you will then have a layout with a one-column section and totally empty. Next, to the right of the screen, you have a toolbox. This has all of the design elements that will help you draft the message. What you can do is drag the text form element within the section element. As and when you drag the element, release the same when you see a blue shaded region.

● As soon as you drop the text element in the section element, you will find placeholder text in the element along with a toolbar floating either above or below the field.

● You can remove the placeholder text, and further customize the same to add one of your choices. To do the above, select the toolbar buttons and style your e-mail text the way you want. Dynamics 365 offers the ease to edit the text as you do in Ms. Word.

Pro Tip: Try and personalize your emails by greeting the reader using their name in the email body.

● It is recommended to embed an image in the design to give it an aesthetic appeal. To do the above, move to the Properties tab. Here, click on the button of the image gallery and select one that you wish to add. To search for an image over the web, click on the browse button. You will find this at the right of the Source field.

● Here you will find all of your previously added images in the server of Dynamics 365 Marketing. Click on the image of your choice and then click on select. This will add the selected image to the design. You can also click on upload to add an image from your local storage to the design.

● So now your email has all of the context, design, and content. Before moving ahead, move to the Preview tab to have a look at how the email looks on different screens.

● In the leftmost column, you will have numerous buttons. You can use them to adjust the content as per the screen size.

● In order to be sure that your email has all and is set to be sent to the user, in the command bar, click on Check for Errors. This way you allow Dynamics 365 Marketing to scan through the content, and check if it’s apt to be pitched. After successful running, the tool will display the result in the notification bar.

● So far now, all of the messages have been checked and errors simulated. Now, we need to go down the last test. Inspect the results in the command bar.

● Send the email to yourself. So now if everything looks good and the email has been delivered effectively, we are all set to go live with the content. Click on go live to send the email to all your prospects without any hassle.
